Herniamesh offers Round, non-absorbable polypropylene monofilament plugs, bi or three dimensional. bi-dimesional Plug T®1 The flat, round Plug T®1 can be used for inguinal hernia repairs by open technique. The plug must be modelled in dart form and fixed with sutures. The two size versions 5 cm diameter (2 in) and 7 cm diameter (2.76 in) allow the surgeon to obtain an optimum dart form to best adapt to the hernial defect dimensions. Plug T®4 Flat, round preshaped (5 cm diameter), with eccentric hole. Plug T 4 is indicated for the treatment of male inguinal hernias with open technique. The Plug T®4 mesh, placed under the transversalis fascia, is combined with the Hertra® preshaped mesh, which is placed over the fascia. The Plug T®4 flat plug, is available in both semi-rigid and quadriaxial knitted versions. three-dimensional Plug T®2 Ideal for repairing inguinal and femoral hernias by open surgery, Plug T®2 offers significant advantages: – the rounded tip of the Plug T®2 causes no blood vessel compression and adapts to all hernial defect dimensions – the tip is connected to the base along the perimeter – the base reinforces the tissues surrounding the defect and, as it is sutured, helps to prevent recurrences deriving from plug migration. The Plug®T2 is also available with a soft tip.
